A wide variety of symptoms, including vasomotor symptoms characterized by hot flashes and night sweats, are commonly experienced by women during perimenopause and menopause. The complex and varied nature of these symptoms requires an individualized treatment approach that is best provided by an interprofessional, multidisciplinary care team. This activity highlights key concepts in managing patients with vasomotor symptoms, provides an overview of the principles of interprofessional collaboration, and describes recommended roles for each member of the interprofessional, multidisciplinary care team.
