Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be better able to:
- Evaluate the correlation between fasting blood glucose and A1c levels (FBG of 126 = A1c of 6%; FBG of 130 = A1c of 7%)
- Establish a target FBG of 110 mg/dL for all type 2 diabetes patients
- Identify diabetic patients over 40 for statin therapy based on ASCVD risk factors
